Here's the update I promised the other day. These first two pics are from the early January, so about 2 weeks post-op. The scarring's still pretty bad in them, but much it's better than it looked in the last update. Nipple dressings had been recently removed in this picture, so they're kinda scabbed up too.

And some fresh pictures! These two were just taken. The white stuff you'll see isn't anything wrong with the incision; it's just some ointment that helps diminish the appearance of scars. From what I read, about a month out is a good point to start putting that sort of stuff on to help the scarring become less pronounced. From other blogs/pictures I've seen of people who are a few years out from surgery, the scarring is hardly noticeable at all.

I'm still fairly swollen in my sides/flanks from the lipo they did, but my doc told me that it tends to take upwards of 3 months for the swelling to recede to the point that it will be at permanently. In other news, after a run-in with my dresser in the middle of the night, I no longer have drains in. Luckily, it was draining much less than the 30mL per 24 hours that my doctor told me is the threshold for removing them, so I shouldn't have anything to worry about in regards to excess fluid building up. The scabbing, for the most part, is gone and my nipples are looking much more normal. I am very pleased with the results thus far, and am looking forward to seeing the difference between the picture in the last update versus what they'll look like years down the road.

I'm a few days away from being a month out of surgery, so I'm going to just count this as my one-month update. I will likely post another update in a month, so that the pictures and write-ups don't get too redundant. Oh, and before I forget, Pittsburgh still blows. Seeya this time next month!
